You can remove your data from Fibonacci Socials yourself, one piece at a time, or ask us to delete all of it. This page explains each option and what it removes. The Privacy Policy describes what data we hold in the first place.
1. Disconnect a social account
- Sign in at socials.fib.im/portal.
- Open your connected accounts (Channels).
- Choose Disconnect next to the account.
What this removes: the OAuth access and refresh tokens for that account are deleted immediately, together with the stored profile details (ID, name and avatar). From then on Fibonacci Socials can no longer publish to or read from that account. Posts that were already published stay on the platform. See step 2 to remove those.
2. Delete a post
Open the post in Fibonacci Socials and delete it. Where the platform's API supports deletion, Fibonacci Socials also deletes the post from that platform. Where it doesn't, the post stays on the platform, and you delete it in the platform's own app. Deleting a post in Fibonacci Socials also deletes its uploaded video and cover image from our storage straight away, unless another of your posts uses the same upload. Even if you do nothing, a post's video is deleted automatically 7 days after its last delivery has finished, and an upload never attached to a post is deleted after 24 hours.
3. Revoke access in the platform's settings
You can also remove Fibonacci Socials's access from the platform's side, whether or not you can still sign in to Fibonacci Socials. The tokens we hold then stop working at once. Menu names change from time to time, but you will usually find the setting here:
| Platform | Where to revoke access |
|---|---|
| TikTok | In the TikTok app: Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then the list of apps and services with access to your account. |
| In Instagram settings, under Website permissions, then Apps and websites. | |
| Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations. Open settings | |
| Threads | In Threads settings, under Account, then Website permissions. |
| YouTube and Google Business Profile | Your Google Account's third-party access page. Open settings |
| X | Settings, then Security and account access, then Apps and sessions, then Connected apps. Open settings |
| Settings, then Data privacy, then Permitted services. Open settings | |
| In Pinterest settings, under Security and logins or Apps, the list of connected apps. |
Revoking access at the platform does not delete the records we already hold, such as your post history. To delete those, disconnect the account in Fibonacci Socials as well, or ask us to delete your account (step 4).
4. Delete your whole account
Email [email protected] from the email address you use to sign in to Fibonacci Socials, with the subject “Delete my Fibonacci Socials account”. If you manage an organisation, tell us whether to delete just your own user or the whole organisation.
- We may ask you to confirm the request from the same address, so that nobody else can delete your data.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days and email you to confirm when it is done.
- What is deleted: your user account and, for an organisation, its team, every connected account and its encrypted tokens, the platform profile data we received, all uploaded videos and cover images, captions, per-platform options, post records and delivery history, and any call requests you sent us.
- What is kept: invoices and the billing records we must keep by law, for as long as the law requires. Content that has already been published on a platform stays there until you delete it on that platform, and we can no longer delete it for you once your account is gone. So remove those posts first (step 2) if you want them gone.
5. If you used Facebook, Instagram or Threads
If you have removed Fibonacci Socials from your Facebook, Instagram or Threads settings and want the data we received from Meta deleted, email [email protected] as in step 4, and tell us the Page or account name. We delete that data within 30 days and confirm by email.
6. If you can't sign in any more
Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, and name the social accounts you connected. We will verify the request and handle it as in step 4. You can also revoke access at each platform straight away (step 3).
